SSO strongly believes in the value and power of music to inspire the community and serve as a catalyst for the growth and development of local music scene. While our primary focus is musical performance, our desire is also to provide diverse orchestral experiences that build and support the appreciation of music for local schools and the community.

OPEN REHEARSAL
Open Rehearsal is a fascinating opportunity to watch the SSO at work, and see how a piece of music is shaped and polished by the conductor and the musicians.
IN THE COMMUNITY
SSO works with local government organisation to deliver music programme for Malaysian children with low income families. This programme creates a special place for children to be mentored and to share their love of music. Click below poster to apply.
SSO VISITS SCHOOLS
Members of the Selangor Symphony Orchestra visit schools regularly offering educational and engaging musical presentations for school children. This is to cultivate the next generation of classical concert goers by educating them to understand and appreciate orchestral music.
