ACADEMY CALENDAR 2023
Please note that this calendar only shows our Holidays, Concerts, and Extra Rehearsals. Otherwise weekly Saturday 2:30pm - 5:30pm rehearsals are expected.
We would like to remind all members and parents that commitment is essential to maintain and achieve highest standards of all musical activities at the Selangor Symphony Academy, hence all members must attend all rehearsals and concerts. However, extenuating circumstances such as mandatory school events, school auditions and interviews may be approved at the discretion of the Academy by submitting the online Absence Request Form at least one week prior to the rehearsal, except illness or family emergency are last minute unexpected occurrence. Family/personal event is allowed to one (1) absence per Term.

Term 2
April 8 (Saturday): Nuzul Al-Quran Holiday - NO REHEARSAL
April 22 (Saturday): Hari Raya Aidilfitri Long Weekend - NO REHEARSAL
April 29 (Saturday): Labour Day Long Weekend but REHEARSAL RESUMES on this day
May 21 (Sunday): EXTRA REHEARSAL (Cello only) 2:30pm - 5:30pm
May 28 (Sunday): EXTRA REHEARSAL 2:30pm - 5:30pm
June 1 (Thursday): EXTRA REHEARSAL 6:30pm - 9:30pm
June 3 (Saturday): "From The New Word" 2023 Tour, in Ipoh, 8pm concert
June 11 (Sunday): EXTRA REHEARSAL 2:30pm - 5:30pm
June 18 (Sunday): "From The New Word" 2023 Tour, in Petaling Jaya, 4pm concert
June 24 (Saturday): NO REHEARSAL, rest for all members
Term 3
August 27 (Sunday): "From The New Word" 2023 Tour, in Muar, Johor, 4pm concert
September 2 (Saturday): National Day Long Weekend - NO REHEARSAL
September 16 (Saturday): Malaysia Day - NO REHEARSAL
Term 4
December 3 (Sunday): SSO Side-by-Side "Swan Lake" production, live full orchestra with ballerinas, details to be announced.
December 17 (Saturday): Last day of Term 4
