SSYO CALENDAR 2024
Please note that this calendar only shows our Holidays, Concerts, and Extra Rehearsals. Otherwise weekly Saturday 3pm - 6pm rehearsal at our studio is expected.
We would like to remind all members and parents that commitment is essential to maintain and achieve highest standards of all musical activities at the Selangor Symphony Youth Orchestra, hence all members must attend all rehearsals and concerts. However, extenuating circumstances such as mandatory school events, school auditions and interviews may be approved at the discretion of the Conductors by submitting the online Absence Request Form at least one week prior to the rehearsal, except illness or family emergency are last minute unexpected occurrence. Family/personal event is allowed to one (1) absence per Term.

January 6 (Saturday): First rehearsal of Term 1
February 10 (Saturday): CHINESE NEW YEAR - No Rehearsal
March 30 (Saturday): Last day of Term 1
Term 2, 2024
April 6 (Saturday): First rehearsal of Term 2
April 13 (Saturday): HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI - No Rehearsal
June 15 (Saturday): HARI RAYA HAJI - No Rehearsal
June 29 (Saturday): Last day of Term 3
Term 3, 2024
July 6 (Saturday): First rehearsal of Term 3, AWAL MUHARRAM- No Rehearsal
August 31 (Saturday): MALAYSIA INDEPENDENCE DAY- No Rehearsal
September 14 - 16 (Saturday - Monday): Extra Rehearsals 3pm - 6pm
September 17 (Tuesday): Morning Rehearsal at concert venue, 4pm CONCERT
September 28 (Saturday): Replacement Holiday for SSYO, No Rehearsal
Term 4, 2024
October 5 (Saturday): First rehearsal of Term 4
November 2 (Saturday): DEEPAVALI - No Rehearsal
December 14 (Saturday): Last day of Term 4 - Christmas CONCERT, details to be announced.
