
SSO FELLOWSHIP
SSO Fellowship programme is for highly talented young musicians looking to gain valuable experience through performing regularly with the professional orchestra - the Selangor Symphony Orchestra, on the highest artistry.
Selected by competitive requirements, the SSO Fellowship provides successful candidates the opportunities to work closely the SSO and this includes performing with the SSO, performing in masterclasses, discussions with SSO musicians, management, conductors, and guest soloists.
INFO, REQUIREMENTS, & APPLY
ROLES OF A FELLOW AND BENEFITS

All successful Fellows will be in residency with the SSO for up to 2 years;

To be mentored by members of the SSO and to perform regularly in SSO concerts;

Serving as an ambassador in the community by performing outreach events;

Engaging with SSO leadership and mentors;

To participate in performing Masterclass coached by SSO musicians and visiting guest soloists.

All SSO Fellows will receive allowances to perform in SSO concerts.
REQUIREMENTS
To be qualified for being a Fellow, candidates must meet all of the following requirements:

You must be aged 18 and below;

Resident of Malaysia;

Have passed Trinity College London or ABRSM Grade 8 practical exam;

Enrol and participate in the Selangor Symphony Youth Orchestra's weekly training program for at least 2 Terms

Recommended by the conductor of SSYO;

Taking private lessons on a weekly basis with an instrumental teacher;
TERMS & CONDITIONS

A successful Fellow is determined by SSYO Conductors and SSYO Coaches;

All successful Fellows will be in residency for 1 year (up to 2 years), renewable on every year upon reviewed by SSO Music Director and SSO key musicians.
